FomoPay turns a token into a payment stream. Anyone can launch a token and name a fomo.family user; a fixed share of every trade is then paid into that user's fomo balance, automatically and for as long as the token trades.

Overview

A payment that keeps paying.

A tip or a transfer pays once. A FomoPay token pays every time it changes hands. Each buy and sell carries a 2% tax, and the recipient receives 80% of it directly in their fomo balance. No claim button, no wallet setup, nothing to sign on their side.

FomoPay is built on Robinhood Chain and launches through Pons, the launchpad that fomo tokens trade on. A FomoPay token is a regular fomo token in every other respect: it appears in the fomo app, it can be traded there, and it graduates to an open market once it is large enough.

The remaining 20% of the tax is used to buy the FomoPay platform token on the open market, tying the platform to the success of every token it hosts.

Roles

Three parties, one flow.

Deployer
Launches the token from their own wallet, chooses the name, logo and description, and names the recipient. Pays the launch fee.
Recipient
Any fomo.family user, identified by handle. Receives 80% of the tax as ETH in their fomo balance. Does nothing.
Trader
Buys and sells the token on fomo or Pons like any other. The 2% tax is part of every trade and is visible before confirming.

Deploying

One form, one signature.

  1. Name the recipient. Enter a fomo handle on the deploy page and look it up. FomoPay shows the account's display name and avatar so you can confirm it is the right person before anything is launched.
  2. Describe the token. Name, ticker, logo and a short description. A line stating who the token pays is appended to the description so traders can see it on fomo and Pons.
  3. Connect and sign. Connect a wallet on Robinhood Chain and confirm one transaction. Your wallet pays the Pons launch fee and network gas; you are recorded as the token's deployer.
  4. Done. The token is live and listed on FomoPay within seconds. Its page shows the recipient, everything paid so far and every individual payout.

The recipient is fixed at launch and cannot be changed afterwards. Check the handle carefully.

Receiving

Nothing to set up.

If someone launches a token that pays you, you will start seeing ETH arrive in your fomo balance as soon as the token trades. Payments are regular, plain transfers; each one is listed on the token's FomoPay page with a link to the on-chain record.

You do not need to accept, claim or connect anything, and you cannot be charged. If several tokens name you, each pays independently. You can keep the ETH, spend it in fomo, or withdraw it as you would any other balance.

Payouts

Automatic and verifiable.

  • Tax accrues on every trade, both while the token is on its launch curve and after it graduates to the open market.
  • FomoPay settles every few minutes. Accrued tax is collected, split per token and the recipient's 80% is sent to their fomo balance.
  • Very small amounts are held until they are worth sending, so the recipient never receives dust and nothing is lost to gas.
  • Every payout is a standard transfer on Robinhood Chain. The token page lists each one with its amount, time and transaction link.
  • Settlement cadence adapts to activity: busy periods settle more often, quiet ones less.

Buyback

20% returns to the platform token.

The 20% of tax that does not go to the recipient is pooled and used to buy the FomoPay platform token. Purchases are made on the open market and are visible on-chain. Until the platform token is live, this share accumulates and is applied once buybacks begin.

Fees

What each party pays.

Deployer
The Pons launch fee and network gas, paid once at launch. FomoPay adds no fee of its own.
Trader
The 2% FomoPay tax on each trade, in addition to the standard Pons trading fee.
Recipient
Nothing. Payouts arrive net; gas for the transfer is covered by FomoPay.

Trust

What you can verify yourself.

FomoPay only lists tokens that were launched with the FomoPay tax and pay their tax to FomoPay. A token that carries a different rate or pays a different address is not a FomoPay token, whatever its description says. Check the token page on this site before relying on it.

Every payout is an ordinary on-chain transfer. Totals shown on FomoPay can be cross-checked against the recipient's wallet history on the block explorer. FomoPay never holds the recipient's funds beyond the settlement window and never has access to their fomo account.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can I pay someone who is not on fomo?
Not yet. The recipient must have a fomo.family account so the payment can land in their balance.
Can I change the recipient later?
No. The recipient is set when the token launches. To pay someone else, launch a new token.
Does the recipient need to do anything?
No. Payments arrive in their fomo balance automatically. They do not need to know the token exists.
What happens when the token graduates?
Trading moves to the open market and the tax keeps flowing; payouts continue exactly as before.
Why has a payout not arrived yet?
Small balances are held until they clear the minimum. A token with light trading may take a while to reach it.
The handle lookup failed.
Lookups are rate limited on the fomo side. Wait a minute and try again; if the handle is misspelled it will not be found.
